As our staff attends news conferences and various public policy related meetings, sometimes we take our video camera and capture interesting testimony or other action. We try and bring you a point of view that is often missed by the mainstream media. You can view those clips here if you have a copy of quicktime installed on your computer. Some of these clips are large in size and will work best if you have a broadband connection to the internet.

Sanctity of Human Life Video
Sanctity of Human Life Sunday is January 18, 2009. The North Carolina Family Policy Council has produced a 4-minute video for use by churches and other organizations when observing this important date. This is also a useful tool for anyone who wants to communicate a pro-life message throughout the year. Marriage Under Attack - May, 2005
This is the second video to be produced by the North Carolina Family Policy Council in a 12-part series called "Public Policy Perspectives." The series will focus on current public policy issues and will help viewers to understand these topics in the context of a developing Christian worldview. "Marriage Under Attack" discusses some of the challenges to marriage today and features interviews with nationally noted experts such as Maggie Gallagher, Peter Sprigg, Matthew Spaulding, Pat Fagan, and Robert Destro. This is a large clip (69 MB) and is 22 minutes in length. Individual copies in a DVD format are available for broadcast media and churches upon request. (Go here to view the video.)

A State Lottery - April, 2005
This is the first video to be produced in a 12-part series called "Public Policy Perspectives." With a perspective not usually reported by the media, this video focuses on the impact that a lottery and the gambling it entails will have on our society. "A State Lottery" features commentaries by, Bill Friday, Chuck Neely, Mike Ruffin, Tom Spampinato, Patrick Wooden, Mark Creech, John Hood, David Mills, Fran Preston and Bill Brooks. This is a large clip (102 MB) and is 30 minutes in length. Individual copies in a DVD format are available for broadcast media and churches upon request. (Go here to view the video.)

Pastors Lottery Comments - April 12, 2005
A group of pastors visited the North Carolina General Assembly to speak to their legislators and talk about the lottery. These are what several had to say during that visit. (Go here to view the clip.)

FCC Field Hearing - March 31, 2003
The Federal Communications Commission recently held a field hearing at Duke University Law School. Bill Brooks, President of the North Carolina Family Policy Council was invited to testify on the issue of consolidation in the television industry and the potential impact on families. Lottery Press Conference - June 3, 2002
On June 3 several leaders of public policy organizations in North Carolina held a press conference at the North Carolina General Assembly to discuss the impact of a lottery on North Carolina. You can hear some of their remarks.

Character Education Seminar - 2002
In the spring of 2002 the North Carolina Family Policy Council conducted a seminar for public school educators who are interested in the implementation of the new character education law in North Carolina. Traveling to Greenville, Charlotte, Durham, Asheville and Wilmington; the seminar featured presenters Ann Lee and Mike Long, noted national experts on character education and directive education, respectively.
